We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to take on the role of senior software engineer. You will work on a self-directed team of highly skilled software development and quality assurance professionals using Agile software development practices to develop compelling data analytics applications.

Responsibilities
  • Enhance and support Red Lambda's Metagrid computing platform 
  • Work with our product management team to develop new data analytics services on the Metagrid platform
  • Work with our Quality Assurance team to ensure that our software products meet the demands of our customers
  • Provide technical oversight to more junior software developers
Qualifications
  • At least a Bachelor's degree in a computer science related field of study
  • At least 7 years of software development related experience
  • Experience building highly available, high performance, mission critical Java software applications
  • Experience architecting and building distributed data collection and analytics applications
  • Significant Java software development experience in a Linux environment
  • Highly effective testing and trouble shooting skills in numerous operating environments
  • Effective one-on-one and group communications skills

Skills Requirements

  • Experience with intrusion testing and prevention
  • Experience in managing a malware lab sandbox environment
  • Hands-on experience with a broad range of security platforms; Firewalls, IPS, SIEM products, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with a broad range of platforms; Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, etc.
  • Customer-facing, problem-solving, collaborative research, and reporting skills
  • Log management:
    • Experience in consolidation and analysis of monitoring data
    • Experience in multi-source data aggregation; network, security, servers, and databases, applications for use in SIEM or related products

Data Scientist

Red Lambda is seeking an exceptional data scientist as a member of the team responsible for continued development and innovative enhancement of the Company’s cybersecurity solution software.

This is a unique opportunity to join a new, multidisciplinary team of creative and passionate individuals that are changing the face of cybersecurity and security-related anomaly detection. Focused on the company’s agenda of detecting cyber threats in real-time – before damage can be done – you will work on high-impact projects utilizing big data analytics and machine learning to improve anomaly and threat detection in corporate IT infrastructure.

We’re a lean and highly creative team combining science and engineering to identify and inject high-value insights into cybersecurity anomaly detection utilizing complex, big data analysis techniques, machine learning, and behavioral analytics.

Responsibilities
  • Advocate, evangelize and build data-fuelled products that help our customers improve their ability to detect cybersecurity-related anomalies
  • Provide insight into leading analytic practices, design and lead iterative learning and development cycles, and ultimately produce new and creative cybersecurity analytic solutions that will become part of our core deliverables.
  • Work with cross-functional team members to identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas.
  • Lead applied analytics initiatives that are leveraged across the breadth of our cybersecurity solutions.
  • Research, design, implement and validate cutting-edge algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Provide expertise on mathematical concepts for the broader applied analytics team and inspire the adoption of advanced analytics and data science within Red Lambda solutions.
Qualifications
  • PhD. or Master’s Degree in operations research, applied statistics, data mining, machine learning, physics or a related quantitative discipline
  • Deep understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts, machine-learning approaches, clustering and classification techniques, and recommendation and optimization algorithms
  • 10+ years of experience delivering world-class data science outcomes, and a demonstrated ability to solve complex analytical problems using quantitative approaches
  • You’re passionate about asking and answering questions in large datasets, and you are able to communicate that passion to product managers and engineers. You have a keen desire to solve business problems, and live to find patterns and insights within structured and unstructured data. You propose analytics strategies and solutions that challenge and expand the thinking of everyone around you.
  • You are expert in analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with a variety of tools. You are accomplished in the use of statistical analysis environments such as R, MATLAB, SPSS or SAS.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Microstrategy. You’re as comfortable with relational databases as you are with Hadoop-based data mining frameworks. You are familiar with SQL, Python, Java and C/C++.
  • You desire a fast paced, test-driven, collaborative and iterative engineering environment.

Business Analyst and User Interface Developer

Red Lambda seeks an experienced and talented Business Analyst and User Interface Developer to join the MetaGrid team in Lake Mary, FL. As a front-end developer you will directly impact the customer experience through the design and implementation of new features and functionalities in Red Lambda’s, flagship cyber security software.

You’ll work as part of a small but rapidly growing high-energy team delivering incredible, creative improvements to our product. You’ll collaborate with other developers to write the best code for the project and deliver results that empower cybersecurity experts to more effectively identify and understand cyber threats that affect their network environment.

Candidate Requirements
  • Expertise in documenting applications, workflows, and data flows
  • Expertise in capturing requirements, defining and documenting for developer
  • Knowledge of Bootstrap questions on responsive layout, breakpoints, columns
  • Knowledge CSS, with SASS preferred. Variety of theming questions, priority of CSS directives, troubleshooting CSS.

  • Understand component architecture and can direct the UI architecture
  • Experience with SVG visualizations and charting is most of the work
