The IEEE Symposium on Computational Intelligence in Security and Defense Applications (CISDA) took place on April 2-4, 2007 in Honolulu. Sessions related to combinatorial optimization, sensor applications, network security, and the modeling of risk included papers and presentations from across the globe representing a body of research aimed at advancing defense tools by leveraging recent technological advances. “This year’s IEEE CISDA conference provided an excellent forum for the finest minds from academia, industry, and the military to come together to present next generation solutions to problems deemed unsolvable by other disciplines,” said Rob Bird, Red Lambda’s CTO, who served as the technical co-chair for the event.
