Red Lambda Names New Chief Technology Officer

Orlando, FL – April 15, 2014 – Red Lambda, Inc., a global provider of grid-based, predictive security analytics solutions for big data, today announced that 25-year IT veteran, Daniel  A. Nieten, Ph.D., has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer.  Reporting to CEO Iain Kerr, Dr. Nieten will be responsible for directing the next phase of Red Lambda’s technology and commercialization strategy.

Prior to joining Red Lambda, Nieten was Senior Scientist with Modus Operandi in Melbourne, Florida, where he led a team of researchers and software engineers on a variety of scalable data analysis initiatives for military and defense clients. He also served in a number of technology leadership roles for NASA, leading a team of software engineers on key programs including the Constellation Launch Control System for the ARES launch vehicle and the Checkout and Launch Control System for the Space Shuttle. Dr. Nieten has also worked as a software engineer with SAIC, Harris Corporation and IBM, as well as a number of entrepreneurial enterprises.
